Charles SERVIES, 86, a former resident of Crawfordsville, died at 4:30 am. Sunday in Riverview Hospital, Noblesville. He had been ill for some time and had suffered a broken hip last Wednesday. Mr. Servies was an employee of Indiana Bell Telephone Co here and at Noblesville. He was a native of Geneva, Neb born Nov 30, 1888, a son of John Anderson and Mary Catherine Peters Servies. He was married April 17, 1910 to Minnie Carol Stevens of Crawfordsville. Surviving are the widow, a son, Robert of NY; a sister, Mrs. Georgia Abernathy of Chicago; a brother, the Rev. John R. of Crawfordsville; two grandchildren and 3 greats. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth, six brothers and four sisters. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Evans-Godby Trout Funeral Home at Noblesville; where friends may call tonight.
